Diros Caves
The Vlychada Diros Cave is one of the finest caves and is located on the west coast of Laconian Hersonissos, at Diros. Under the unspoiled landscape of Mani, you will discover a miracle beyond imagination, whitewashed stalactites and stalagmites, stunning curtains and glowing crystals adorn every corner, creating an unparalleled breathtaking spectacle!
The main part of the visit to the cave is carried out in small boats with boatman giving the guided tour. The last section to the exit of the cave is about a 10 min walk.
The cave is not particularly cold in comparison to other caves. Queues during peak times can sometimes require a waiting time before embarking your boat.
There is a small museum on the walk down to the cave, be aware for children who may be afraid, that there is a real human skeleton in the middle of the museum.
