A tour through Vagonetto gives the visitor the chance for a step-by-step introduction to the bauxite mining process. The acquaintance with the history of bauxite begins with a tour in the exhausted underground Tunnel 850, continues in the Exhibition Area and ends with a visit at the Interactive Digial Technology Wing
Gain first-hand experience and explicit knowledge of how Bauxite is excavated. Experience the everyday life of miners through their own narrations. Get on the train that was used to transfer them in the heart of the mountain and ‘listen’ to their conversations

Special Notes:
Children under 6 yrs are welcome, but be aware that you will be going into a mine in a small vehicle in semi-darkness and with some loud noises. Pre-booking via the site is required. You will be stopped at the security gate entering the site, give your ticket / visit details and you will be directed to the parking next to the visitor area
